Regardless of the psychiatric-mental health need or issue presented, the primary goal of the PMHNP-BC is to assist clients in coordinating and managing their mental health needs by utilizing techniques for diagnosis, treatment, and recovery that are appropriate to the client's culture and developmental stage. Services offered include but are not limited to conducting a comprehensive physical and mental health assessment of the client's mental status, history of violence, suicidal or self-harm behaviors, substance use, trauma, and social and developmental history, as well as addressing psychiatric disorders and treatment through the integration of Psychotherapy and Psychopharmacology interventions. As an independent psychiatric nurse practitioner, I am culturally diverse and skilled at providing mental health services to individuals across the wellness-illness continuum and throughout the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and the community's geriatric population.
A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation session marked by cultural diversity and a strong sense of empathy.
