What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will introduce ourselves as I provide a safe and supportive space to hear your story, explore difficulties, collaborate and guide with the understanding that you are the expert of your own life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with a diverse population, I pride myself on being culturally competent, open and willing to learn more from you, the client as we work to meet your individual needs and goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to treat anxiety, depression and other mental health issues. CBT is good for anyone who needs support to challenge unhelpful thoughts that are preventing them from reaching their goals or living the life they want to live. It teaches people that while it is impossible to control all aspects of the world around them, they can take control of how they interpret and deal with things in their environment. I use CBT to treat depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders and severe mental illness.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to teach people new ways of being with anxiety, and change the way they relate to their negative thoughts and emotions in order to prevent their negative thoughts from taking over. I use ACT to treat conditions of general anxiety disorders, chronic pain, depression, OCD, eating disorders and social anxiety.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT for people experiencing emotions very intensely. I normally use DBT for people struggling with borderline personality disorder to assist the person in accepting the reality of their lives and their behaviors.
