Welcome! I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. I have sixteen years' experience working in the specialty of mental health. Mental health challenges have the potential to hold us back from our responsibilities, life fulfillments and looking towards the future. We have all been there. But the good thing is that you don't have to stay there! I specialize in mental health diagnosing medication management and therapy. You can expect a warm, non-judgmental environment and client centered treatment where we will work together to get you back to being you. My goal in your treatment is to help you to reach and maintain your optimum level of mental health to live the life that you desire.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with a brief introduction, review your intake information and then dive into the specific challenges you are currently experiencing. We will then discuss treatment modalities and create a treatment plan specific to your needs.

Having worked with individuals with mental health challenges for over sixteen years, I have found that the best gift to the success in treatment is a supportive provider, who actively listens and provides a safe non-judgmental environment for the client to grow and improve their mental health.

I enjoy working with clients in their young adult years to the late adulthood who are struggling through life challenges (i.e. women and men issues, adjustment issues such as single parenting and ineffective stress management) that are causing them symptoms of anxiety and depression; open minded and willing to seek treatment.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

To help you get back to feeling like yourself, I use the treatment method of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help change misconceptions of thoughts to more productive and positive thinking. Technique that are utilized include social skills training, stress management and mindfulness.

Interpersonal

Interpersonal therapy is effective in the treatment of depression and mood disorders. Interpersonal therapy is used to help clients in the management of interpersonal deficits, difficult life transitions, unresolved grief, unfulfilling relationships.
