(she/her)
Hi, I’m Dr. Jeri Cox Do you ever feel like you’re just going through the motions, hiding who you really are? Whether you’re navigating current hardships or healing from the past, you don’t have to do it alone. Together, we’ll use a holistic, personalized approach to help you manage stress, break cycles of anxiety, and rediscover your natural resilience. You deserve a safe space to set down the 'mask' and start living as your most authentic self. I’m here to help you begin this next chapter.
Our first meeting is all about getting to know you. We’ll start by briefly reviewing the essentials, like confidentiality and informed consent, before diving into your intake form and assessments. We’ll talk through your history, relationships, and any significant life events to better understand your current symptoms. From there, we’ll work together to set your treatment goals and build a plan that feels right for you. I’ll also provide resources tailored to your specific needs, and we’ll wrap up by scheduling our next session.
The primary therapeutic approaches I use are existential, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Existential- Existential therapy approach focuses on self-determination and meaning making of an individual . Each person has the capacity for self-awareness, meaning and purpose are ever evolving as insight and development are ever changing. DBT- Dialectal behavioral therapy approach focuses on the development four key skill areas; mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. CBT- Cognitive behavioral therapy premise is that thoughts and perceptions influence behavior. Key focus areas include the development of skills to manage dysfunctional emotions, behaviors, and thoughts.
I specialize in helping individuals navigate cycles of anxiety, depression, and the lingering effects of past trauma on daily life. My practice focuses on building resilience in the face of uncertainty and addressing how previous experiences may be impacting your current mental and emotional health.
I work with individuals who feel overwhelmed or caught in cycles of anxiety and depression.; and are ready to take steps toward a healthier and more balance life .

Dr. Cox has been wonderful in unpacking whatever needs to be talked about at any given time. More importantly she's giving me good actionable advice on how to improve upon myself as a person, a father, a husband, and a son. She has helped me to delve into different viewpoints and encouraged me to be more open with my communications in life and self reflection in a positive light.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Cox. She was warm and authentic during our initial call, and seems like she focuses on empowering me with tools to identify areas of concern and how to work through them.
