Hi my name is Lorena Mendez. I am a Licensed Social Worker. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Therapy to me is supporting others to achieve their goals. When I am not providing therapeutic services I am working out or spending time with family and friends. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and children.

First session
In out first session you can expect to provided information on you reason for seeking therapy at this time. I will assist clients with creating goals that they feel align with their needs. I treat every client with respect and empathy. I like to create clear boundaries with my clients. I like to provide a safe space for my clients.
Strengths
I provided clients with a safe space to express their thoughts and feelings. I am empathic to my clients and their situations.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with clients that are open to expressing their thoughts and feelings. Clients that are eager to improve, but don't yet have the resources or skills needed to make their goal a reality.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use mindfulness therapy to focuses on the present and create an awareness with a non-judgmental acceptance of thoughts and feelings. To help individuals develop skills to manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and enhance overall well-being.
Strength-Based
I use strength-based therapy to help individuals pull on their strengths to empower them. It creates clients to identify, develop, and utilize strengths to overcome their challenges and improve their well-being.
