Moses Obidike
Hello, my name is Moses Obidike, a board-certified mental health practitioner. I work with individuals across the lifespan, from children to older adults. I help them with their mental health. Some of my specific treatment areas of focus include Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar disorder, ADHD, Insomnia and Trauma-related disorders.
I also provide faith-based therapy that complements medication therapy.
I understand the challenges involved in seeking mental health treatment, so I provide a non-judgmental, compassionate care, giving clients opportunity to be heard and and to feel supported.
First session
My first goal with my clients is to make them feel comfortable and safe; develop a rapport with them. Clients can expect to leave sessions supported with a better understanding of their mental health conditions, practical coping skills, and strategies for managing symptoms. My goal is to provide holistic care, empower clients to take an active role in their mental health journey and equip them with the tools they need to thrive. I recognize that seeking help for mental health issues can be a challenging experience. I am excited to work with you and help you achieve your mental health goals.
Strengths
I provide a compassionate evidence-based care that incorporates the latest research and best practices in psychiatry. Depending on a client’s needs, I use a combination of psychotherapy, medication management, and other evidence-based interventions to help clients manage their mental health conditions effectively. I understand that mental health treatment is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and I am committed to helping my clients achieve optimal mental health and quality of life. I also provide faith-based therapy that complements medication therapy.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone that is serious about getting help for their mental illness. Being open minded, non-judgmental and sincere makes life easier for the client and the provider. I'm aware of the stigma that comes with mental illness and I'm determined to work together with my clients to provide them with holistic care solutions that will enable them to be functional, confident and maintain optimal mental health.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I’ve been using CBT in my professional practice for about two years now, and it has helped many of my clients manage their recurrent or racing thoughts that is common in anxiety, depression, or OCD. We’ll use CBT to identify how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact with one another to interfere with your peace and happiness. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a more relaxed and less stressful life.
Faith-based therapy
I incorporate faith-based therapy in my professional practice. As a clinician, it has helped me to provide holistic care to my clients. My goal in practice has always been to treat the whole person. FBT has helped many clients who are open to it, to handle situations they couldn't have been able to handle ordinarily, and gain strength to overcome trials.
