Welcome, thank you for browsing my page. I look forward in potentially supporting you in your healing journey. I work to provide clients comfort, compassion, and empowerment for them to move forward in their life. Traumatic events are upsetting, confusing, and can have impact on overall well being. These events can come from a personal event that occurred from childhood, current relationship struggles in, and/or communication barriers that impact your personal life. I have experience working with a wide diverse population from children, teens to adults. I have worked in school based & community mental health in addressing multiplexed stressors such as past trauma, depression, anxiety, family dynamic, and life transitions.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what’s been bringing you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about who you are as a person to better understand your concerns, your goals, and what you’re hoping will feel different moving forward. You can expect a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can share at your own pace—there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and understood from the start. By the end of our first session, we’ll begin identifying next steps and create a plan that feels aligned with your needs and goals.
My approach is the balance of structure and genuine connection by creating a space where clients feel safe, seen, and supported. I work at each client’s pace, helping them build practical coping skills, process difficult experiences, and strengthen confidence both in and outside of sessions
I work best with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or impacted by past experiences and are ready to create meaningful change. My clients often come in navigating anxiety, life transitions, or stress, and are open to building insight and practical coping skills. I’m a good fit for those who value a supportive, collaborative approach and want to feel more grounded and confident in their daily lives.

I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based approach for supporting children, adolescents, and families impacted by trauma. I help clients develop coping skills, process experiences in a safe and supportive way, and build resilience over time
I use a person-centered approach that emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and a nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship. I believe clients are the experts of their own experiences, and I work collaboratively to create a safe space where they feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow at their own pace.

I’m going through some hard life transitions and dealing with some past and current trauma. While I’m only one session in, Kristen has created a warm and inviting space for me to begin processing and healing. She is encouraging, kind, and I feel confident that as we continue working together, she will challenge me in the best way possible.
