LPC, 3 years of experience
New to Grow
Hi my name is Alexis "Lexi" Edge LPC! I earned my Masters of Science in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Duquesne University. My most important goal is to create a balanced therapeutic environment; a safe space that is nonjudgmental and empathetic while also challenging you to be your best self and achieve your desired goals.
First sessions can feel quite intimidating. I always meet my clients where they are, so we can dive right in with your goals, struggles, traumas etc. or we can ease in to things allowing me to get to know you through questions, interests, abilities etc. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and build an authentic therapeutic relationship in order to work towards healing.
I prioritize the therapeutic relationship and comfort of clients. That is paired with genuine interest in my clients, undivided attention, utilizing a trauma informed approach, challenging clients, and an array of emotion focused and somatic therapeutic techniques.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families in the therapeutic environment. My ideal focuses are adolescents, LGBTQ+, blended families, children of divorce, women's issues, relational problems, self esteem struggles, life transitions, and identity exploration.
