(she/her)
🌸Hello and Welcome! My name is Dr. Anne Geleen Gordula and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist based in California. I have been working in the field of mental health for 10 years assisting children, adolescents, and adults with recovering from challenging life experiences. I understand that seeking therapy can be a bit nerve-wracking and daunting, so know that I am thankful for your courage and willingness to go out of your comfort zone to find help and support for yourself. Life provides each person with their own unique set of experiences, challenges, and goals for healing. I believe that therapy should be a space where one can feel safe, secure, and empowered to explore these different aspects of life – especially when they create distress and discomfort. I do my best to approach therapy with warmth, attunement, and empathy for each person's experiences, so that you can feel comfortable and open to exploring your story. I strive to meet you where you're at and collaborate with you to figure out what would best support your healing and create meaningful changes to your life.
I believe that it is important to find a therapist with whom you can connect with and feel safe to share your experiences. Our first session together will provide an opportunity to get to know each other, get a feel of our chemistry and see if we are a good fit. We will explore the issues/challenges that motivated you to seek therapy and discuss what support you will need. I'll also ask questions about your previous mental health history, current significant relationships, strengths, and target goals you would like to focus on in therapy. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
As a provider, my greatest strength is my ability to hold space and provide gentle strength for you as we uncover and process the impact of your experiences on your day-to-day lives. I am committed to helping you re-connect with yourself, find your voice, and create long lasting secure relationships.
I believe it is a privilege and an honor to serve clients from all walks of life and also be a source of support throughout their healing journey. Life’s challenges don’t make it easy to get through the day to day, so I hope to be a kind and compassionate voice to anyone who needs an extra bit of it.🌸

Attachment-based
Learning about your early attachment experiences can help you understand how significant people in your childhood influenced your capacity to connect and relate to others. Through our work together, we will look at ways to cope with and heal from any relational wounds you may have experienced and increase your ability to welcome secure attachments and relationships.
Compassion Focused
Self-compassion is a practice that allows you to work toward being an inner ally to yourself and less of an inner critic. As we explore your life experiences and discover how your relationships have changed the way you interact with yourself, we will learn strategies to reconnect with and approach yourself with loving-kindness, warmth, and self-acceptance.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a great tool to help with understanding how a person's thoughts, feelings, body responses and behaviors are influenced by their perception of events. During our time together, we will identify significant life events and people who played a role in shaping the underlying negative beliefs that you may have internalized about yourself, others and the world. We will also work toward reframing these beliefs to be more adaptive and helpful to you.

Dr. Anne is amazing! She is so kind and gentle in her approach and listens to what am saying. She helps guide me understand why I feel the way I do and why my body isn’t connecting to my mind. She has helped me tremendously with her techniques and material. It’s just been a few weeks and I already can tell the difference in my attitude and I’m moving a lot more than I did before. Truly appreciate all her help and support and I am so grateful to have her as my therapist!
