I am a Licensed Professional Counselor & Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of CT with 21 years of experience in the mental health field. My area of expertise has been with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, anger, trauma, grief, self-esteem, and family & relationship issues. This has been through my work providing individual, family, couples and group therapy with adolescents & the adult population in both a clinic and a private practice setting.
In our first session together, we'll start with getting to know one another in building a sense of rapport. Then we will discuss some of the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a designated plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions
I would say my greatest strengths would be in my ability to actively listen with empathy and compassion, to create a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, and to offer support and guidance in a collaborative and empowering way. I am skilled in building strong therapeutic relationships based on trust, respect, and transparency.
I enjoy getting to work with children & adolesence, and their families, along with college aged clients, adults, and couples in marriage therapy.
