I incorporate lifestyle factors such as nutrition, exercise, and sleep to support overall stability and long-term well-being.
I work with patients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, sleep difficulties, mood disorders, and other conditions such as psychosis or schizophrenia. My approach is safe, supportive, and trustworthy, creating a space where patients can build skills and confidence to manage their symptoms.
First session
During the first session, we will complete a comprehensive evaluation to understand your symptoms, history, and current concerns. You will have the opportunity to share your goals, and together we will begin developing a personalized treatment plan. This may include medication management, therapy, or both, depending on your needs. The session is collaborative and focused on helping you feel comfortable, informed, and supported from the start, while ensuring that all treatment decisions are based on clinical appropriateness to support safe and effective care.
Strengths
My greatest strengths include providing compassionate, integrated care that combines medication management and therapy to support continuity and reduce gaps in treatment. Having worked in psychiatric settings since 2016, I bring a practical, grounded, and nonjudgmental approach to each session. I listen carefully to understand each clientâs experiences, culture, symptoms, and goals while helping them recognize their strengths, build self-esteem, and develop effective coping skills. I value safety, respect, and trust, and emphasize patient education so clients feel informed and actively involved in their care. I maintain appropriate clinical boundaries, practice within my scope, advocate for my patients, and collaborate with other professionals when needed to provide safe, consistent, and effective care in English or Spanish.
Ideal clients
All patients are welcome. Care is provided for individuals who are motivated to improve their mental health, are open to guidance, and may benefit from evidence-based medication management and/or therapy. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, sleep difficulties, mood concerns, or conditions such as psychosis or schizophrenia, support is tailored to your individual needs. The main focus is using individualized strategies to improve daily functioning in a safe, respectful, and collaborative environment, while addressing lifestyle factors such as nutrition, exercise, and sleep to support overall stability and well-being.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help patients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. My approach focuses on practical problem-solving skills to manage symptoms like anxiety, depression, and stress. CBT is integrated with medication management when appropriate to support overall improvement and daily functioning.
Multicultural
I provide culturally sensitive care that respects each patientâs background, values, and experiences. I integrate this approach with medication management when appropriate to deliver personalized and effective treatment.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help patients who feel unsure or hesitant about change gain clarity and take practical steps forward. This approach supports depression, anxiety, ADHD, low self-esteem, and other psychiatric conditions, while improving treatment engagement and medication adherence. It is integrated with medication management when appropriate.
