Greetings, I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and a doctor of nursing practice. I believe in a holistic treatment approach based on evidence-based practice and patient-centered care. I believe in meeting the needs of each patient individually to help improve their quality of life. I have worked in the mental health field for over 15 years. I enjoy working with patients who struggle with mental health issues and I am dedicated to helping them live their best life. Mental health care is my passion. My mission is to provide quality, patient-centered, holistic care to all those I work with.
Our first session is mainly about getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to learn more about what brought you to see me, your current concerns, and some background information about your mental health, medical history, and life circumstances. This helps me understand how I can best support you. You’ll also have time to share what you’re hoping to get out of our visits and ask any questions you may have. We will talk about your goals, and review things like confidentiality and scheduling.
What stands out about my approach is the integration of advanced clinical training with a compassionate, patient-centered perspective. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice, I take a holistic approach that considers the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence mental health. I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive and therapeutic interventions to help patients better understand their symptoms, develop effective coping strategies, and improve overall functioning. I prioritize building a collaborative and trusting relationship with each patient, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment decisions. My goal is not only to reduce symptoms but also to support long-term stability, resilience, and improved quality of life.
I work with pre-teens, teenagers, and adults of all ages who are experiencing challenges such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, OCD, and sleep difficulties. I am especially well positioned to support individuals who are feeling overwhelmed by school, work, family responsibilities, or life transitions and are looking for guidance, stability, and effective treatment. Many of the clients I work with want to better understand their symptoms, improve focus and emotional balance, and develop practical coping skills for everyday life. I provide a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns while working toward improved mood, better sleep, stronger coping strategies, and overall mental wellness. My approach integrates thoughtful medication management with therapeutic support to help clients achieve lasting progress.
