Do you need to start setting boundaries? Struggling with that pesky inner critic in your head? Wondering how your going to finish your work when you just can't stop worrying? Hi! My name is Emily (she/her) and I am so glad you are here, taking the steps to better your mental health and well-being! Life is incredibly stressful, and sometimes we need some extra support to help us get through it. I would love to be a part of your journey towards self-empowerment, resilience, and growth. I believe in your unique value and will collaborate with you to help you live the life you want to live. I approach therapy through an integrative, Person-Centered, and Intersectional lens. I will create a safe and compassionate environment where you can feel comfortable to be your authentic self. I have experience providing therapy to adolescents/teens, young adults, and adults coping with depression, anxiety, bipolar and mood disorders, self-harm, stress management, LGBTQIA+, self-worth/self-esteem, and schizophrenia spectrum disorders. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We will work together collaboratively to help you find a space to relax, unload, and process your "stuff". I will help you identify and clarify your values, notice and change unhelpful and helpful patterns, learn coping skills, and so much more!

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Our relationship is super important for how well therapy works for you, so first we will build rapport. I then tailor my approach with your needs in mind. I use techniques rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy techniques, and narrative therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My focus is helping young adults and college students/grads with anxiety and life stressors. I am passionate and knowledgable (personally and professionally) about providing care and support to LGBTQ+ individuals.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.
