Do you find yourself feeling stressed or overwhelmed? Are you currently trying to get through a challenging time? Is there something that is holding you back and preventing you from living life to the fullest? Life can be challenging and it can be even more difficult to identify how to make changes. I utilize an eclectic approach to guide you through your own process at your own pace. I focus on helping individuals navigate through life changes or hardships. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults. My background includes working with individuals in a variety of settings who have or had suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, substance use, family stressors, and more. My goal is to empower individuals by working with them to identify and develop skills to make positive changes in their lives. I help you explore the intrusive or bothersome thoughts, patterns, emotions and behaviors that are preventing you from being happy and bring balance back into your life. Working together and redirecting negative though patterns will help you relax, focus, and increase your energy. The ultimate focus is helping individuals, love and fully accept themselves. I believe that everyone has the ability to create change in their lives and welcome all who are ready to begin their healing journey.
At our first session together, I will explore what brought you to therapy, including any current strength our needs. The first few sessions I will spend time getting to know you and develop a rapport. Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable and awkward, especially if you’ve not been in therapy before. That is normal! The healing process takes time and patience. We will prioritize where you would like to focus on treatment first and develop a plan together. At times, I will provide homework to further the therapeutic process between our time together. We will have continuous open dialogue about what works for you and what does not work for you in therapy. I will check in to see how you feel about the therapeutic process and level of fit between individual and therapist.
I feel my greatest strength is my ability to listen and empathize with the individuals that I work with. Helping normalize individual's experiences and creating a safe place for vulnerability. I believe in vulnerability as a method of healing and building connection with one another. With my eclectic approach, I gear interventions and styles to each individual person that I work with in the healing process.
