(she/her)
I am a Doctor of Clinical Psychology and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working primarily with children, teens, and young adults through a wide range of challenges. My specializations include working with individuals experiencing issues related to self-esteem, mild depression, anxiety, stress, and life transitions. Additionally, I have substantial experience in addressing concerns stemming from traumatic experiences, having received training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Moreover, I proudly identify as a clinician of color, specifically of Asian Pacific Islander heritage, and I am committed to offering therapy and access to individuals from diverse backgrounds. I hold a BA in Psychology from Dominican University of California, an MA in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco, and a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
In our first session together, we’ll start with brief introductions, then dive into specifics challenges you’re facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
In our collaboration, the goal is to meet you where you are in your own individual experience. I strive to establish a secure environment that fosters the freedom to express yourself without fear of judgment, ultimately promoting a profound sense of being seen, heard, and understood.
I am best positioned to serve teens and young adults.
I use Person-Centered Therapy to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and accepted. My approach emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity to support clients in exploring their experiences and finding their own solutions at their own pace.
I integrate Strengths-Based Therapy by helping clients identify and build on their existing strengths and resilience. I focus on empowering clients, highlighting what’s working well, and using those assets to navigate challenges and promote growth.
I have extensive experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and use it regularly to help clients identify and reframe negative thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. I tailor CBT techniques—like cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and thought tracking—to meet each client’s specific needs and goals.
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify clear goals and build on past successes. By focusing on solutions rather than problems, I support clients in developing practical steps and envisioning a preferred future, often leading to quick and meaningful progress.
