Hi, I’m Keshia Francis, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Transformative Healing Counseling Services.
First session
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can share at your own pace. We’ll focus on getting to know one another, exploring what brings you to therapy, and identifying your goals for our work together. For adolescents, I work to create a supportive and age-appropriate environment while also collaborating with caregivers when appropriate. I will ask questions to better understand your experiences, current challenges, and what support looks like for you. My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and comfortable from the very beginning, while also beginning to establish a clear and supportive path forward.
Strengths
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a calm, supportive, and affirming space where clients feel truly seen and heard. I bring a grounded presence along with extensive clinical experience, allowing me to tailor therapy to each individual’s needs. My approach is both compassionate and structured. I value authenticity, collaboration, and transparency, and I work alongside clients to help them build insight, strengthen coping skills, and navigate challenges with greater confidence and clarity.
Ideal clients
I work best with adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, or the impact of past experiences. Many of the individuals I support are balancing multiple responsibilities and may feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns they are ready to better understand and change. My clients are often motivated for growth and are looking for both support and practical tools. They may want to improve coping skills, better manage emotions, and gain clarity in their personal, academic, or professional lives. I provide a warm, supportive, and structured approach to therapy. Together, we focus on building insight, developing effective strategies, and creating meaningful, sustainable change that can be applied in everyday life.
Treatment methods
Eclectic
I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities to best meet each client’s individual needs. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, I tailor treatment by integrating techniques from trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based approaches, and EMDR-informed interventions when appropriate. This approach allows me to adapt to each client’s goals, preferences, and stage of change. Some clients benefit from skill-building and practical coping strategies, while others may focus more on processing past experiences and gaining insight. In many cases, therapy includes a balance of both. My goal is to provide care that is flexible, collaborative, and effective—supporting clients in building emotional awareness, strengthening coping skills, and creating meaningful, lasting change.
