Kirsten Osborne
I am a licensed therapist with over 10 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and children on a variety of life stressors. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for self-exploration and personal growth. I am also passionate about peaceful parenting and holistic approaches to wellness. In addition to my work as a therapist, I also have a background as a professional musician and I use creativity to help client's gain deeper understanding and self-empowerment.
First session
During the first session, I will be gathering information about your history, your present concerns and symptoms, as well as identifying your strengths, supports, and needs. We will work on building rapport and moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Again, a sense of security is always my first priority and I never push clients to share things they are not ready to discuss.
Strengths
I feel my greatest strength is empathy. I try to understand each unique story and explore it with the client. I am not the expert, the client is the expert on their own life. I see myself as a caring guide.
Ideal clients
I am experienced working with adults as well as children and adolescents using a variety of techniques including traditional talk therapy, worksheets, and creative strategies such as journaling, drawing, and other mediums. I always try to meet clients where they are and find the best strategy for each client. After all, therapy is not one size fits all!
