New to Grow
Hello, I am so glad you are here! I’m Brittney Mota, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with young adults navigating anxiety, self-doubt, and life transitions. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck in overthinking, or pressured by family expectations while trying to figure out who they are. As a second-generation Hispanic therapist, I understand how cultural identity and generational dynamics can shape your experiences. My goal is to help you feel more confident, grounded, and in control of your emotions—not just in session, but in your everyday life.
Sessions with me feel collaborative, supportive, and real—I’ll challenge you when needed, but always at your pace. You won’t just vent—we’ll build tools you can actually use between sessions. My approach is client-centered, which means your preferences, needs, values, and goals are always part of the clinical decision-making process. This is your space, and our work together should reflect what feels important and meaningful to you. After our first session, you can decide whether I feel like the right fit. And if not, I’m more than happy to help connect you with a provider who better aligns with what you’re looking for.
I take a strength-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed approach, which means I focus on what’s already working in your life while creating a safe, supportive space to explore what feels challenging. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in a way that feels practical and relatable, helping you better understand your thoughts and emotions, manage anxiety, and work through difficult experiences at your own pace.
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of your next step? You don't have to navigate it alone. Early adulthood can bring anxiety, relationship challenges, family stress, and big life transitions and it's okay if you're still figuring things out. I understand the complexities of cultural identity, generational dynamics, and the unique pressures that can come with balancing family expectations and personal growth. Together we will focus on goals that matter to you and build practicial tools to help you feel more confident, grounded, and empowered.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we will work together to help you gain awareness of how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are impacting your life. We will also explore your beliefs about yourself and others.
Strength-Based
We all have our strengths and areas of growth. In therapy, you can discover and strengthen your best qualities.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma-informed care recognizes that our life experiences can impact both our bodies and the ways we move through the world. In therapy, we’ll explore how trauma has shaped you, while also identifying your resilience and focusing on what’s strong within you.
