LCMHC, 7 years of experience
Hello, my name is Nichole Williams. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina with 6 years of clinical experience working with adults, adolescents, children and families. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, low self-esteem, bi-polar, trauma, schizophrenia and anger management. I have also worked with clients with conduct and oppositional issues in Day Treatment, school-based, and in-home settings. My therapy style is warm and inviting. It is important that my clients feel comfortable and safe to express thoughts and feelings without the fear of being judged. My approach combines person-centered and cognitive-behavioral modalities. Meeting my clients where they are fosters a collaborative effort and is key to establishing and maintaining a postive therapeutic alliance. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I look forward to getting to know you!
In our first session together, there will be brief introductions, giving you the opportunity to ask me questions about my professional background and experience while also allowing me to learn about you. Then we will begin an assessment to discuss challenges you are facing and your desired goals. This will allow us to establish a tailored plan for us to work through the proceeding sessions.
My strenghts are building and maintaining a postive therapeutic alliance as well as empowering my clients.
I enjoy working with clients of all ages who are experiencing transition challenges personally and/or professionally. My client embodies an eagerness to improve and is willing to work with me to actively explore tools to effectively meet their challenge.
