First session

In our first session we will spend time talking about what it is that is bringing you to therapy. It’s normal to experience various feelings during the first session. Sharing your story takes courage. We will also talk about how I can be helpful in assisting you in making some of the changes you are looking for in your life and together we will start to develop a plan for treatment.

Treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT focuses on helping people to live a more value based life utilizing mindfulness, psychological flexibility along with committed action. Most people find these types of interventions help to bring more joy and happiness to their lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps people to learn how to interact with their thoughts and feelings more effectively by learning to identify thought distortions people can change the way they feel. Likewise, identifying and implementing behavioral changes can also lead to people finding more joy and happiness in their life.
