Welcome! Let's Grow Together. My name is Anitra. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist, licensed to practice in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. With over 15 years of experience in social services, including time as a school social worker in the Washington, DC Public School system, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. My professional journey has equipped me with the knowledge, empathy, and cultural competency to support a wide range of clients in their mental health and wellness goals.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, explore your goals for therapy, and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We’ll review the intake assessments and discuss any information that may be helpful in shaping a meaningful and effective therapeutic journey.
As a therapist, I’m caring, genuine, nonjudgmental, and down-to-earth. I show up as my full, authentic self and create a safe space where real human emotions are welcomed. While I maintain a professional environment, I believe that authenticity and connection are powerful tools in the healing process.
I have clinical experience supporting individuals navigating a variety of life challenges, including depression, anxiety, family conflict, life transitions, friendships, and intimate relationships. I especially enjoy working with both single individuals and couples as they move through their personal journeys. My passion lies in helping people evolve, elevate, and transform into the best versions of themselves. I’m deeply committed to supporting clients in breaking generational patterns and overcoming the negative cycles they may have witnessed or experienced in their youth.

This was my first session, she made me feel very comfortable being vulnerable. Although it was my first session she was able to get to the root of my struggles since it was hard to articulate what I was feeling
