First session
Take the first step towards a healthier, more fulfilling life. Contact me today to schedule a consultation and let's embark on a transformative journey together. I am accepting new clients and would love to chat with you about your therapeutic needs. I offer a free 15-minute screening call to ensure we are a good fit before the first session. The first session will be you telling your story, how you came to be here, and how we can travel this journey together.
Strengths
My greatest strengths as a therapist lie in my ability to connect with you on a genuine level. Here's why: Lived Experience: Our paths may differ, but everyone faces challenges. This allows me to relate to your struggles and offer a listening ear that comes from a place of understanding. Compassion: I care deeply about your well-being. Your pain and struggles matter to me, and I'm here to offer unwavering support without judgment. Understanding: I believe in creating a safe space where you can freely express yourself. I aim to understand your unique perspective and experiences by genuinely listening and asking thoughtful questions.
Ideal clients
I work best with adults facing a meaningful life challenge who want support that feels both emotionally grounding and practically useful. Many of the people I work with are navigating anxiety, chronic illness, caregiving responsibilities, grief, major life transitions, or the kind of uncertainty that does not come with a neat, clear answer. Often, they are capable, thoughtful, and high-functioning in many parts of life, but they’ve reached a point where the strategies that used to help no longer carry them through in the same way. My approach is warm, direct, and rooted in real life. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel understood, but also gently challenged when it’s helpful. You do not need someone to hand you a list of instructions or tell you exactly what to do. What you may need is a collaborative partner who can help you slow things down, make sense of what you’re feeling, notice patterns, and figure out what actually works for your life. I value honesty, curiosity, and a working relationship where we can be thoughtful together. In our work, we may focus on building coping skills, improving communication, setting healthier boundaries, managing anxiety, and increasing confidence in decision-making. I draw from a range of practical, evidence-based approaches and tailor therapy to fit the person sitting in front of me, because no single method works for everyone. What matters most is finding an approach that fits your needs, your pace, and your goals. The clients who tend to benefit most from working with me are those who want a compassionate, experienced therapist who understands that life can be messy, relationships can be complicated, and healing does not always mean making a problem disappear. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, we may be a good fit.
Treatment methods
Strength-Based
Everyone possesses strengths that can be harnessed to navigate life's challenges, even grief. I use a strength-based approach in my therapy sessions to help clients identify their resilience, coping skills, and support systems. We work together to leverage these strengths and develop healthy mechanisms for managing grief and life transitions. Through this empowering approach, clients can find comfort, rebuild their lives, and move forward with hope.
Grief Therapy
Grief is a deeply personal experience, but you don't have to walk it alone. I utilize strength-based grief therapy, helping you discover your inner resilience and coping mechanisms. Together, we'll build on your strengths to develop healthy tools for managing your emotions and honoring your loss. This empowering approach fosters self-compassion, hope, and the ability to rebuild your life after loss.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Using grounding tools, I guide you in cultivating present-moment awareness and acceptance, equipping you to manage stress and navigate challenges more easily. Find peace and clarity amidst life's storms.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
In my sessions, I create a warm and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely. I listen attentively, reflecting back what I hear to ensure I understand your unique experience. Through open-ended questions, I gently guide you in uncovering your own strengths and solutions. This approach empowers you to navigate challenges and find the path that feels right for you.
