(she/her)
Hi! I am a mental health therapist based in Maryland. I received my licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) in 2018. I received my B.A. in Psychology in 2011 from San Francisco State University, my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health in 2018 from Argosy University, and my Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision from Capella University. I am dedicated to providing mental health therapy to adults who are suffering from depression, anxiety, stress low self-esteem, ADHD, and life transitions. Though my primary clinical model is CBT and Person-Centered, my approach is holistic.
I use my role to guide you toward self-empowerment by helping you align yourself to your culture to create strength, depth, and balance. With me, I will teach you more than coping strategies, but a way of healing and managing the inevitable life challenges.
Throughout my years providing services, I have refined my clinical delivery style. I am open, authentic, transparent, and use humor to create a welcoming space for healing.
I believe that every person is unique and valuable. I am passionate about helping people develop their potential and achieve their personal and professional goals. I welcome all walks of faith, cultures, and genders. It is my honor to support you at this point in your journey.
I have used Cognitive Behavior Therapy for 10 year in additional to other models to explore thought and behavioral patterns that impacts one’s emotional experience.
This model is used to explore your stages of change, one’s process to make the necessary changes to achieve your treatment goals.
Positive regard is used to actively listen and validate your feelings.
