Hi, I’m Elizabeth Garibay, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical dependency Counselor for the state of Texas. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and understood. I enjoy helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and work toward meaningful personal growth. I am committed to providing evidence-based, client-centered care, while supporting sustainable therapeutic outcomes.
In our first session, the focus will be on creating a sense of safety, trust, and collaboration. You are in control of what you choose to share, and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We’ll talk about what brings you in, without any pressure to go into detail about difficult experiences unless you feel ready. I may ask some questions to understand how to best support you, and I will explain confidentiality and your rights in the counseling process. Your comfort and sense of safety are the priority, and we will work together to build a plan that feels supportive and manageable.
My greatest strength as a counselor is my ability to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being open and honest. I prioritize building trust and strong therapeutic relationships as the foundation for meaningful change.

I've tried therapy before only to feel worse than when I began. I don't feel this way with Elizabeth. She's compassionate and I felt that I could be vulnerable and honest with her. I have high hopes for this journey.
