Rosaline Stevenson is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am passionate about caring for people with mental health disorders, therefore I pride myself on taking care of them. I try to understand and appreciate where they’re coming from and all aspects of their life when treating them. What I love about my job is getting to know the people that I care for. Knowing that I can make an impact on their lives inspires me to come to work every day. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Illinois followed by MSN in Psychiatric Mental Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In my spear time I loved to go for long walks and work in my garden tending to my roses when the weather permits.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then move into the specific challenges one is/are facing in order to create a plan that is specific to that person.
Having worked with young professionals for the past 3 years, I've developed/learned how to a identify the root cause of one's challenges and also create a plan of care that leads to measurable progress.
I have over 3 years of experience dealing with clients across the lifespan. I love working with my clients who are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality.
My approach to treatment is both individualized and holistic, integrating medication management with supportive therapy to cater to my clients' needs. This method encompasses psychoeducation, active listening, validation, empathy, problem-solving, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, enabling me to empower my clients. It encourages them to be proactive and involved in their treatment decisions, which fosters high-quality care and positive client outcomes.
