I grew up in Las Vegas, NV in a big, blended family. During my internship and following graduation, I worked at an inpatient treatment facility for teens dealing with high suicidality, self-harming behaviors, and psychosis. It was during this time that I began to recognize how much work can be done to prevent crises before they strike, rather than trying to figure it all out afterwards. Also, it isn't just big things like suicide that can be prevented-working to decrease stress, anxiety, increase fulfillment..these are worthwhile too. If you feel nervous/weird/awkward/anxious about therapy, that’s normal. All I can say is, you matter. You are an important part of the world. Hello, I am a licensed mental health counselor currently licensed in Florida, Idaho, New Jersey, Nevada, Indiana, Wisconsin, Colorado New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Vermont. I have 10+ years of experience with all ages. I love to do parent training for people who struggle with their children regardless of their mental health, neurological, or developmental condition. My first love is behavior therapy for people with autism however, I have extensive experience in mental health and substance use disorders or all severities.

I’ve been a therapist for over 15 years. I received a bachelor’s in psychology focusing on child development and a master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have worked for organizations that have specialized in juvenile sex trafficking, prisoner reentry, homelessness, foster care, Christian counseling, and career planning. Through my years of working in mental health and working with so many different populations, I’ve learned that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all method. I primarily use Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Gottman Relational Therapy. However, I use techniques based on what each individual client needs at the moment. I know what it’s like to overcome fear and adversity. Being married to a first responder for over 20 years has taught me what it is like to experience tension and uncertainty while trusting in his ability to stay safe. As a parent, I know what it is like to go through life’s stages – from birth to empty nester. More importantly, life has taught me the importance of having someone you can trust in your corner.
