New to Grow
I’m Ayse Dulger, LCSW, founder of Ember Trauma Therapy & Wellness. I help adults heal from trauma, anxiety, childhood wounds, and attachment injuries through compassionate, trauma-informed care that fosters growth, renewed hope, and a deeper connection with themselves, so clients can build resilience, confidence, healthier relationships, and lasting emotional well-being.
In the first session, clients can expect a warm, judgment-free space to share their concerns, explore what brought them to therapy, and identify their goals. We will begin creating a personalized treatment plan and discuss the therapeutic approaches that may best support their healing. There is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable.
I bring warmth, curiosity, and active engagement to every session. I don’t simply sit quietly and listen—I ask thoughtful questions, offer honest feedback, and gently challenge patterns when it supports growth. I balance compassion with accountability, creating a safe space where clients feel understood while also feeling encouraged to make meaningful, lasting changes.
My ideal clients are adults who feel weighed down by trauma, anxiety, childhood wounds, or painful relationship patterns. They may understand why they struggle yet still feel stuck in survival mode. They are ready to explore their experiences, challenge long-held beliefs, develop healthier coping skills, and create deeper connections with themselves and others through meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients make space for difficult thoughts and emotions without allowing them to control their lives. Together, we practice mindfulness, cognitive defusion, acceptance, and self-compassion while clarifying personal values and taking meaningful steps toward a more fulfilling life.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, challenge limiting beliefs, develop practical coping skills, and practice healthier responses that support meaningful and lasting change.
I use DBT to help clients manage intense emotions, tolerate distress, improve relationships, and respond to challenges more effectively. Together, we practice mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills that clients can apply in everyday life.
I use EMDR to help clients safely process traumatic memories and distressing experiences that continue to affect their emotions, beliefs, and relationships. Through structured preparation, grounding, and bilateral stimulation, we work to reduce emotional distress and develop healthier, more adaptive beliefs.
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS)–informed therapy to help clients compassionately understand the different “parts” of themselves that hold painful emotions, protective patterns, or unmet needs. Together, we explore these parts without judgment, strengthen connection to the calm and compassionate Self, and support healing from trauma, anxiety, and childhood wounds.
