I have been licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2004, and have held a supervision designation since 2015. I have also held a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a supervision/training designation license since 2018. I have maintained a private counseling practice in Chillicothe since 2000, and I continue to work with individuals and families in that capacity. I have dedicated my career to helping others and to working with the community to ensure the well-being of families and children. My most common theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Christian Therapy, but I am proud to be able to use a multitude of approaches, dependent on what works best for the client(s) involved. I value the individual and the couple regardless of age or philosophical approach to their life or relationship. I see my goal of treatment as improving the individual or couple to be the best they want to be. My communication tone or approach tends to be direct but laid back. We are in session to work together, not have me tell you what to do or where you need to go.

Are you a woman who is feeling down and have little interest or pleasure in doing things you normally do? Do you feel tired or have little energy or so restless that it is hard to sit still and relax? Are you easily annoyed or irritable? If you answer yes to any or all of these questions, then you may be experiencing some depression and anxiety. But I have good news for you! I work exclusively with women only who are experiencing Depression and Anxiety. These conditions are treatable through talk therapy sessions and can often resolve in the short-term. Therapy does not have to be a long-term process and often you can achieve the goals you set for yourself within a matter of months.

Hi! I'm Taylor Griner, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, with over 8 years of experience in the mental health field. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Florida State University and have dedicated my career to working alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions. I use they/them pronouns and proudly identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. While I enjoy working with clients from all walks of life and don't make my own identity a focus in session, I think it can be important for LGBTQ+ clients to see their identities represented in their care providers. I believe therapy should be a safe, compassionate space where you feel truly seen and heard for who you are. I believe in a trauma-informed approach focusing on your strengths and ability to grow. I'm warm, empathetic, direct, and curious to learn more about you and what makes you...you! Whether we're delving into your past, managing current stressors, or working to achieve future goals, I look forward to meeting you where you're at and navigating your unique story together.

Hello, I’m Dennis Alvarez, PsyD. I believe counseling should both encourage and thoughtfully challenge individuals to move toward their fullest potential by addressing the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of their lives. I hold a Doctorate in Psychology and a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am a licensed psychotherapist with experience across hospital, treatment, and private-practice settings. Throughout my career, I have provided individual and group therapy as well as comprehensive psychological assessments to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relational distress, substance-use concerns, and life-transition stressors. My clinical background includes work in hospitals, substance-use treatment programs, and outpatient private practice, where I integrate evidence-based approaches within a holistic, person-centered framework. I am also the author of When Heaven Was Silent: Integrating Psychology and Theology in the Garden of Gethsemane, which explores the experience of mental suffering through both clinical and historical perspectives. My doctoral dissertation focused on trauma and psychological adaptation, further shaping my approach to helping individuals understand their internal patterns, build resilience, and restore a sense of meaning and purpose. In my work with clients, I emphasize helping people understand how and why certain thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns develop, particularly in the context of anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance-use histories. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment while also encouraging insight, personal responsibility, and growth. My goal is to help you move toward a more grounded, authentic, and meaningful life.

I'm a psychotherapist with 35-plus years of experience. I love working with clients in the here-and-now, and finding solutions to move forward with life. My primary goal is to help you help yourself. I will guide and coach you, not tell you what to do. My name is John A. Llauget. I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Counseling from University of South Florida. My career in mental health in 1977 working in a psychiatric hospital; and later as a outpatient therapist in a community mental health center working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I was licensed in Florida in 1986 as a Mental Health Counselor and have maintained my license since that date. Also I have worked as an employee assistance counselor, school counselor, associate professor at an international university, and court evaluator for guardianship cases. For 20 years I worked as a cancer counselor with oncology clients helping them cope with illness, stress, and emotional distress. Additionally I have maintained a practice and interest in Traditional Okinawan Uechi-Ryu, earning a Masters rank in that system of training. I have used martial training with children & adolescents to develop self-control and self esteem. Later when I began working with an elderly population and clients dealing with physical limitations, I taught Qigong and Mindfulness Meditation as a way to improve their health, well-being, and cope with stress. My therapeutic style centers around getting to know a client, develop trust, and talking more explicitly about issues before making any recommendations. I am a strong advocate of evidence-based treatments and teaching ‘tools’ to cope with stress and emotional difficulties. I have gained training in trauma treatment because we now know that it is prevalent in our life experiences. I value compassion, persistence, and patience in working towards change. I look forward to working with you. I also value your time and want to use it productively in assisting you to reach your therapeutic goals.

Is life feeling heavy right now? Does it feel like the harder you try, the more lost you become? When navigating a major life transition—like a recent loss, an empty nest, a career shift, or an ending relationship—your mind tries to think its way through the change, but your nervous system carries the actual burden. If you have spent months talking about your stress in therapy but your body still feels exhausted, anxious, or stuck, somatic work may be the missing piece. I provide a warm, gentle space specializing in somatic (body-centered) therapy and mindfulness for women experiencing: The heavy, physical ache of deep burnout and grief A constant tightness in the chest or unshakeable fatigue Feeling completely disconnected from your own body We won’t just analyze your overwhelm; we will work together to help your body safely release it. You don’t have to navigate this threshold alone. Let’s help you breathe a little deeper and feel truly grounded again. Please Note: I believe healing burnout starts with modeling it. I deliberately limit my client slots so I can show up with total clinical presence, depth, and intention—giving you a calm, grounded space to slow down and heal.

I’m a licensed therapist in both South Carolina and Florida with years of experience working across inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment, detox, and outpatient settings. I’m passionate about helping clients understand what they’re experiencing, gain clarity around their challenges, and develop practical tools that create meaningful, lasting change. Therapy should be more than simply talking about the same problems week after week. My goal is for you to get the most out of your time in therapy, to leave sessions with greater insight, useful strategies, and a clearer sense of what you can do differently. I work collaboratively with clients who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, ambivalent, or unsure of where to begin, helping turn uncertainty into direction and progress. My approach is grounded in a “scaffolding” philosophy. Early in therapy, you may need more support and guidance, much like training wheels. As we work together, the goal is to build your confidence, problem-solving skills, and ability to navigate challenges independently. I’m not here to make you dependent on therapy; I want to help you become more equipped to handle life beyond the therapy room. Change can be uncomfortable, but it doesn’t have to feel impossible. I bring a confident, compassionate, and solution-focused approach to therapy while creating space for honesty, growth, and even some humor along the way. Whether you’re looking for clarity, coping skills, healthier relationships, or simply a better understanding of yourself, I’m here to help you make meaningful progress.

Hi there, I'm Sharon, and I'm passionate about helping individuals rediscover their inner child and embark on a journey of healing the wounds from their past. As a compassionate and creative soul, I offer a unique approach to processing and addressing emotions. Through my work, I aim to provide a safe and nurturing space for you to explore your feelings, particularly those affected by addiction and co-dependency. I firmly believe that art, not in the traditional sense but as a personal expression of one's emotions, holds the key to authenticity and self-discovery. My focus is on the process rather than performance, making it a soulful and liberating experience I call "soul art." As part of my commitment to excellence, I am currently pursuing my certification in Creative Journaling Expressive Arts with the CJEAItm. This additional training allows me to integrate journaling and expressive art techniques into our sessions, offering you a dynamic and creative approach to healing and personal growth. If you're ready to embark on a transformative journey, exploring your emotions through the creative lens, I'm here to support and guide you every step of the way. Let's work together to nurture your inner child and empower you to lead a more fulfilling life.

Hi there, I'm Brittany. I'm a biracial woman, a wife and a mother, and counseling has been a calling of mine since I was young, shaped by my life experiences. You may look like you have it all together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. Perhaps you're highly sensitive, constantly overthinking, struggling with panic attacks, carrying the weight of past trauma, or finding it difficult to enjoy your life the way you want to. If this sounds familiar, you're not alone—and you don't have to navigate it by yourself. I specialize in working with high-functioning, highly sensitive adults and children experiencing anxiety, panic disorder, depression, and the lasting effects of trauma. My clinical background includes three years at the VA supporting veterans, service members, and their families, plus years in community settings treating trauma, substance use, and behavioral and emotional disorders across all levels of care.

My goal is simple: help you feel more like yourself again, but stronger, more confident, and in control.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) & Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), who is a passionate advocate for emotional wellness and mental health awareness. Raised in the Caribbean, where stigma around therapy often silenced emotional struggles, inspired my commitment to help others heal and grow without shame or fear. I hold a BA in Forensic Psychology and MA in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College, and have years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, emotional regulation, and relational conflict. I support clients in understanding that therapy is a collaborative process done at their own pace to achieve the life change or improvement that they desire.
