Catherine Ben-Agu is a board certified licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner in the state of Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC. She has 11years of experience in psychiatry. Catherine attended Walden University where she completed her bachelors and masters degree in nursing. Through her many years of experience, she has been able to partner with children, adolescents, adults, as well as geriatric clients who seek help with diverse psychiatric problems. Catherine specializes in facilitating significant improvement in client’s presenting symptoms through proper assessment, accurate diagnoses, medication prescriptions, treatment, and evaluation. She is experienced in various psychiatric disorders including Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, ADD, BPD, other Personality disorders, SUD, Eating disorders, Mood disorders, suicidal ideation, talk therapy sessions and many more.
In our first session together, client will receive a warm welcome, and we will start with a brief introduction, dive into the specific challenges the client is facing. This will help me provide the accurate assessment, proper diagnosis, medication prescription, treatment and evaluations. It will also help me create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions
