Hi there, I'm Wendy. Do you feel alone in a crowd, empty inside, afraid or just plain anxious or both? Do you miss when times were simpler and quieter, not so much chaos? Are you finding it difficult to relate to your friends or family or you don"t want to feel you are burdening them with how you feel? Is it harder to concentrate on work or activities around the house? Does pain cause your depression or anxiety? I'm here to listen to you, your thoughts, feelings, and concerns and provide you with the tools to improve the quality of your life. Together we will create a plan to help you feel empowered to face the challenges in your life. My availability is weekly with a flexible schedule
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions
My clients tell me my biggest strengths are my ability to make them feel comfortable, that I am easy to talk to and nonjudgmental . They feel that my compassion for what they are feeling and going through gives them strength and not feel alone. They like that they can be honest with me. I love helping people with depression see the light in the sky, anxious people feel an inner calm. I help people go through the stages of life with the necessary skills to feel good about life and face the next challenge. I am an animal lover and many of my clients enjoy talking about their pets and the value they give to their lives. I also specialize in grief counseling for the loss of a beloved pet as well as the loss of a loved one. I find the career path I have chosen to be very rewarding.
Age 21 and over My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious. With the right tools, clients are able to make the changes that will improve the quality of their lives.
Welcome! I use primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to facilitate positive self talk, or what your thoughts are on an issue. This process opens the door to feeling the positive vs the negative.
