My name is Jenny Sitzer, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois and Florida. I provide individual therapy to adults and have extensive experience in teletherapy. I know it can be difficult to reach out for help, especially for the first time. That’s why building a trusting connection is always my top priority. I began my social work journey in Chicago back in 2001. After becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I was fortunate to gain experience and make an impact in a variety of settings. Along the way, I developed a special interest in trauma recovery, gender identity, and our relationship to food and eating. That being said, there's no wrong reason to reach out for help, and I enjoy working with clients with a variety of concerns. As a long-time social worker with the Department of Veterans Affairs, I am also passionate about advocating for veterans, active duty service members, and their families. In 2020, my family embarked on a new adventure by moving to Germany. We now live close to a national forest called the Odenwald and enjoy hiking, biking, and eating lots of traditional German food. Fortunately, we stay connected to home and visit our loved ones in Florida as often as we can. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first few sessions, we get to know one another and explore the challenges that bring you to therapy. Based on your priorities and values, we develop goals for your time in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Clients tend to describe me as warm, open, natural, and kind. I have worked for many years in the tele-therapy space and have specialized experience in the treatment of PTSD and Binge Eating Disorder.
