I am a dedicated Mental Health Therapist with a passion for helping others navigate life's challenges. Outside of work, I find solace in the sitcom "Friends", reading, and spending time with animals, friends and family. I have two adult children. I have compassion both personally and professionally, offering guidance and support through counseling. I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to you as you embark on this journey of healing and self-discovery. My name is Tracey and I am honored to be your guide and companion on this path toward personal growth and well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, I will do a genogram and go over the assessments you have taken to learn about you and what your therapy goals are at this time so I can tailor a plan to use in our future sessions. We will discuss your life challenges and how we can address them as we build our relationship. We will get to know each other and move straight into our plan.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a therapist include empathy, non bias feedback, strong communication, patience, and compassion. I get to know you and build trust and adapt my approach to meet your individual needs.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have used this type of therapy since I first started in this field. It entails unconditional positive regard, nonjudgmental, genuineness, and empathy. Using Rogerian therapy, I help raise your self-esteem, manage emotions better, make better decisions, and look at the world in a more positive, healthy way. I get to know you as the person you are and learn what your needs are to better your life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Sometimes you just need help with a specific or current problem. I help with that by challenging you to think a bit differently and correct cognitive distortions. I have used SFBT since I started in this field. This is not for long term trauma or personality disorders. We really work on finding a solution to the current problem or problems.

Couples Counseling

In Couples Counseling, I am an unbiased ear to hear both parts of the couple. I look at perspective and personality traits of each partner to help make the relationship stronger (if needed). I try to build emotional bonds between the partners as seen fit. I have worked with many couples in the past 3 plus years. I enjoy working with couples because when you're a part of the relationship, you, most of the time, cannot see what the actual problems are or how to communicate about those problems.
