New to Grow
Hello, I’m Dr. Kim Morgan. I have over 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field, with a career that began working with youth in the juvenile justice system—an area I continue to be passionate about today. In addition to my work in correctional settings, I have provided counseling in outpatient programs and school-based environments, supporting middle and high school students in the community. I am committed to creating a supportive, structured space where individuals can build insight, develop coping skills, and work toward meaningful change.
In your first session, I will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, background, and goals to help guide our work together. We will also review important information such as confidentiality, expectations, and the structure of sessions. This is a collaborative process, and you are encouraged to share at your own pace—there is no pressure to cover everything at once. I am looking forward to meeting you and working with you.
I am intentional about establishing trust and rapport early in the therapeutic process, as I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for meaningful progress. I’ve spent much of my career working with individuals who may be guarded or reluctant to engage, and I focus on building trust in a way that helps clients feel comfortable, respected, and willing to participate in the process.
My career has focused on males aged 13-45 with addiction issues, mostly within a prison setting or probation/parole setting but have worked in the community as well. I tend to work with the tougher population that many seem to be unable to get through with anger issues or who have committed violent crimes and most clinicians do not want to work with. I also work well with women and have had good results with this population as well. I have experience with individual, family, couples, siblings, and group therapy.
