Micaela Cappa
I am a cognitive behavioral therapist who incorporates a mindfulness approach. I help clients identify their core beliefs and thought patterns that drive their behaviors while identifying the cognitive distortions that prevent them from living the healthy, functional life that they desire. I am a graduate from Bethel Seminary of San Diego, California, and have a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
First session
My goal is that the client experiences a safe, non-judgmental place in the therapeutic relationship where they can work through their “stuff” in their own personal journey of healing.
Strengths
I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I consider looking at the pneuma-bio-psycho-social components of a client, with the belief that these components are interconnected and make up the whole self.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with individual clients, as well as couples (premarital couples, married couples, divorcing and divorced couples, co-parenting couples). My goal is that clients experience a safe, non-judgmental place in the therapeutic relationship where they can work through their “stuff” in their journey of healing, and that couples experience new life in their relationship. I help clients identify their core beliefs and thought patterns that drive their behaviors while identifying the cognitive distortions that prevent them from living the healthy, functional life that they desire.
