New to Grow
My name is Ariana Harris, and I am a Licensed Clinical Therapist who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges while building greater self-awareness, resilience, and emotional wellness. As a multicultural Latina who speaks both English and Spanish, I understand the importance of creating a safe and welcoming space where people from diverse cultural backgrounds feel seen, heard, and respected.
During our initial session, we will get to know each other, explore what brings you to therapy, and identify your goals for treatment. I understand that meeting with a therapist for the first time can feel intimidating or uncomfortable. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can feel supported and comfortable with being yourself. We will move at your pace that is comfortable for you. My role is to listen, understand, and work collaboratively with you as you begin your therapeutic journey.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in compassion, active listening, and creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being open and authentic. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I work alongside my clients to better understand their experiences, identify patterns, and develop meaningful goals for change.
My ideal client is someone who is ready to engage in the therapeutic process and open to work collaboratively toward meaningful change. I welcome clients who are open to learning new skills, gaining new perspectives, and gently challenged. Therapy can be a challenging process. However, my client's experiences, values, and goals are always at the center of our work together.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we can identify patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress. Additionally, I assist clients in identifying healthy coping skills and challenge negative thought patterns. I believe in meeting clients where they're at while providing encouragement, helping them explore new perspectives to support their growth and therapeutic goals.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage difficult emotions, navigate relationships, and awareness. My approach consists of validation and supportive sessions. I work collaboratively with clients to identify challenges and healthier ways to respond to difficult situations. Through DBT-informed strategies and skills practice, my goal is to help clients feel more confident managing their emotions, communicating their needs, and navigating life's challenges.
