Hola! I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed psychotherapist (LMFT) based in California with a decade of experience. I received my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Clinical Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University. I specialize in supporting adolescents and adults of all ages who are facing mental health challenges that affect their daily lives and aspirations. As an art therapist, I offer art therapy sessions where no previous art experience is necessary. This approach combines traditional psychotherapy with creative expression to help you process emotions and integrate body and mind.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we’ll start by discussing what brings you to therapy and exploring your goals. We’ll set the pace together to ensure the experience feels comfortable and manageable for you. This session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and determine if we’re a good fit for working together towards your personal growth.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my genuine curiosity about your unique experiences and internal resources. I’m passionate about integrating an understanding of the nervous system with psychoeducation to support your healing journey. I will warmly hold space for you through all emotions—whether you’re navigating tough times, celebrating successes, laughing, or crying.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

In my practice, I focus on identifying and utilizing clients' strengths to help them overcome challenges. I work collaboratively with clients to recognize their internal resources and capabilities, empowering them to build resilience and achieve personal growth. By focusing on strengths rather than deficits, I help clients develop a sense of self-efficacy and confidence. My approach is tailored to each individual, ensuring that we explore and enhance their unique abilities to foster positive change and well-being.

Somatic

I integrate somatic therapy into my practice to help clients connect with their bodies and release trauma stored at a physiological level. Having completed an Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy Certificate Program, I use this approach to guide clients in exploring how their emotions and experiences manifest physically. Together, we work on building awareness of bodily sensations, which can lead to deeper healing and self-regulation. This method helps clients feel more grounded and fosters emotional resilience by addressing both mind and body in the therapeutic process.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution Focused Brief Treatment to help clients identify and build on their existing strengths to achieve meaningful goals in a short period. By focusing on solutions rather than problems, we create actionable steps toward positive change, fostering a sense of progress and empowerment.

Psychoeducation

I use psychoeducation to help clients understand their mental health and emotional experiences, empowering them to make informed decisions about their well-being. By providing clear, accessible information, I support clients in developing self-awareness and practical tools for managing their challenges.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use Person-Centered Therapy to create a supportive and empathetic environment where clients feel valued and understood. This approach emphasizes your perspective and fosters a strong therapeutic alliance, allowing for genuine self-exploration and personal growth. By respecting your autonomy and focusing on your individual experiences, I guide you to achieve greater self-awareness and positive change.
