Hi and welcome. I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist based in Southern California. I have been practicing for 10 years in various settings, including private practice, in-home services and school campuses. I work with children and adults who may be struggling with stress, personal issues, or life transitions that are affecting their daily lives, well-being and relationships. My vision is to help clients gain equilibrium and the confidence to ride the waves of life with tranquility and confidence. I believe that everyone deserves to have a good day every day.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first couple of sessions, we will unpack your concerns and co-create a plan to sort them out and help you gain a new perspective. You can expect warmth, professionalism, and kindness. First impressions are key, and I look forward to making the best one on you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Throughout my work experience, I've learned to accommodate different learning styles and to personalize the type of care each individual needs. Healing will take time and effort, so we will go at your pace and I will genuinely enjoy being along your side for your new journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Most of my clients simply need a listening ear and a welcoming place to vent without being judged. They are motivated to improve, but need someone who believes in them for guidance, encouragement, support and constructive feedback.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

Through Strength-Based therapy, I have identified my clients' resiliency core factors and helped them recognize those characters. I've carefully crafted techniques to build onto the strengths of my clients and empowered them for developing coping mechanisms to deal with problems and difficulties in their lives. My objective has been to instill feelings of hope and provide encouragement. Using the Strength-Based model has helped me promote improvement in self-esteem and self-efficacy.

EMDR

EMDR therapy offers a structured and effective approach to healing from trauma by facilitating the reprocessing of traumatic memories and reducing their emotional impact. Traumatic experiences, whether big or small, seem to get locked in the brain and it can be the basis for a lot of discomfort and sometimes a lot of negative emotions that we can’t seem to control. Some studies have shown that 100% of single-trauma victims and 80% of multiple trauma victims were no longer diagnosed with PTSD after six 50-minute sessions of EMDR therapy.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is a type of talk therapy with meditative principles that focuses on learning how to be present, increase awareness, and how to understand thought and feeling patterns. I’ve helped my clients become centered, reduce their triggers and re-program automatic responses using mindfulness strategies. During session, we will create a calming and serene space through grounding techniques and resources within your surroundings.

Reality Therapy

When our basic needs aren’t being met, we may act without careful consideration of the possible consequences. With Reality Therapy, change occurs through identifying and meeting our basic needs as well as developing satisfying interpersonal relationships. My clients and I examine, evaluate, and explore all possibilities to gain a sense of inner control of their lives. My goal is to create a nurturing relationship, to be supportive, non-judgmental, and a patient coach through positive and attainable action steps.
