I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, adults, families, and student-athletes as they navigate life's challenges and pursue meaningful growth. My approach is grounded in creating a supportive, collaborative, and culturally responsive therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to develop resilience, strengthen relationships, and achieve their personal goals. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each client's unique needs, helping them develop practical skills and confidence to create lasting, positive change.

First session

ntake: We’ll review the basics, including confidentiality, mandated reporting, and intake paperwork. Sharing Your Story: You’ll have the opportunity to talk about your current stressors, personal background, family dynamics, and any past experiences with mental health care. Setting Goals: Together, we’ll identify what you hope to achieve in therapy and begin outlining your goals.

Strengths

As a BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) therapist, I strive to create a safe, trusting, and culturally responsive therapeutic environment. I focus on empowering clients by recognizing their resilience, honoring their cultural values and norms, and acknowledging the impact of systemic racism, microaggressions, and intersectionality on their lived experiences.

Ideal clients

My ideal client goals would be to decrease anxiety, depression, adjusting to life's challenges such as moving to a new city, new job, loss of a relationship, job, love one. Concerns of focus should be depression and anxiety. Mindset should be looking to make change and a bit of motivation. Ages 12-18 students, and young adults 18 to 50 years of age.
