I’m a therapist who is deeply passionate about helping individuals and couples create meaningful, lasting change in their lives and relationships. My approach is warm, direct, and grounded in both clinical expertise and genuine care. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel truly seen and supported, while also being challenged to grow in ways that move you toward your best self. I draw from attachment-based and mindfulness approaches to help clients better understand their patterns, regulate emotions, and build healthier, more secure connections. Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, anxiety, life transitions, or feeling stuck in old patterns, I work collaboratively with you to create insight, clarity, and real movement forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where we begin getting to know you and what’s bringing you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant history, and what you’re hoping will feel different in your life or relationships. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand patterns, strengths, and areas where you may feel stuck, while also giving you space to share at your own pace. You’ll get a sense of my style, both supportive and direct, as I begin to offer reflections and initial insights. We’ll also discuss goals for our work together and make sure we’re a good fit. My intention is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of direction moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is the depth and breadth of experience I bring to my work. Over the past 15 years, I have treated individuals struggling with addiction, eating disorders, and a wide range of mental health concerns across every level of care, from the highest levels of acuity to outpatient settings. This allows me to understand the full continuum of healing and meet clients with both clinical skill and real-world perspective. I have also worked closely with and guided loved ones navigating these challenges, giving me a strong appreciation for the impact on relationships and family systems. In addition to my clinical work, I teach and mentor future therapists, which keeps me deeply connected to best practices, ethical standards, and ongoing growth in the field. Clients often experience me as both compassionate and direct, I am able to create a space that feels safe and supportive while also offering honest feedback, structure, and accountability to help facilitate meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals and couples who are motivated for change and open to doing meaningful, sometimes uncomfortable work. They value a direct and honest therapeutic approach, one that offers both support and challenge, because they’re ready to move beyond patterns that are no longer serving them. These clients are curious about themselves, open to feedback, and committed to growth, whether that’s improving their relationships, deepening self-awareness, or building a more grounded and fulfilling life. Together, we create a space that is both compassionate and accountable, helping them step into the healthiest version of themselves and their relationships.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

In my practice, I take an attachment-based approach to therapy, understanding that our earliest relationships shape how we experience connection, safety, and trust throughout our lives. I help clients explore patterns that may show up as anxiety, avoidance, people-pleasing, or fear of abandonment, often rooted in attachment wounds. Together, we create a therapeutic space that feels consistent, attuned, and emotionally safe, allowing clients to experience a different kind of relationship, one where they feel seen, valued, and secure. Through this process, clients begin to develop greater self-awareness, regulate emotions more effectively, and form healthier, more secure connections in their relationships.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate a mindfulness-based approach to help clients slow down and become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment. Rather than getting caught in cycles of anxiety, reactivity, or overthinking, I guide clients in learning how to observe their internal experiences with curiosity and compassion. This allows them to respond more intentionally instead of reacting automatically. Through mindfulness techniques such as grounding, breathwork, and present-moment awareness, clients build the ability to regulate emotions, tolerate distress, and feel more connected to themselves. Over time, this approach supports a greater sense of calm, clarity, and balance in both daily life and relationships.

Couples Counseling

In my work with couples, I focus on helping partners understand the patterns they get stuck in and how those patterns impact connection, communication, and trust. Rather than placing blame, I guide couples in recognizing the cycle they co-create, and how each partner’s needs, fears, and protective behaviors play a role. I create a structured, supportive space where both individuals feel heard and validated while also being gently challenged to take ownership of their part. Together, we work on improving communication, rebuilding emotional safety, and strengthening the underlying bond so couples can move from reactivity and disconnection toward deeper understanding, repair, and intimacy.
