I'm Steve Hall, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been practicing for over 20 years. I work with clients to help to unlock individual strengths, to accept what has already happened, and to help commit to change, however that looks to the individual. I want someone to find the answers that work for him/her. I am also a husband, parent, and a veteran of the U.S military.
In the first session, I will do a quick meet and greet, and then find out specifically the issues with which are most important to the individual.
I am a very patient person, I help a client to figure out what is important to him/her.
Steve Hall offers therapy covered by Managed Health Services (Managed Medicaid), Medicaid - Managed Health Services and UnitedHealthcare/Optum - Medicaid in Indiana.
I use CBT as a tool to help realign/reframe a perons's thinking, especially when it comes to perceived issues vs. facts. Identifying and processing issues will help to bring about understanding with thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
I really enjoy working with couples. I love the dynamics and seeing how each person in the partnership feels about him/her self, his/her partner, and how change and progress can happen.
At my core, I believe that we are all in this life, together, and that each person is a valued contributor to life. Humanistic therapy helps to explore an individual, their purpose or lack of purpose, in life, and in working to use his/her unique gifts and strengths to succeed.
In my experience, EMDR is the most effective way to treat PTSD. I have used it with success to help process the unprocessed pain that many trauma survivors carry around with them, to provide relief, and a hopeful future.
