Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of individuals rediscover their worth, develop self-acceptance, and reconnect with their true values. My work has included supporting those facing substance use challenges, involuntary treatment, emotional regulation difficulties, and serious mental health conditions. I am deeply passionate about working with individuals who have felt unheard or silenced. Walking alongside clients as they reclaim their voice and rebuild their confidence is at the heart of my work. I currently offer a sliding scale for private pay clients ($50–$75 based on income) for eligible new intakes. If you’re interested, please reach out to me directly. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my priority is to truly listen. I want to understand your story, your current concerns, and the areas where you may feel silenced, stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from your authentic self. We may discuss any immediate stressors or crises, but the primary focus will be creating a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable expressing yourself openly and honestly. You set the pace. My role is to guide and support - not to judge. You can expect thoughtful questions that invite reflection, along with gentle structure to help us clarify what’s bringing you to therapy and what you hope to change. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals, aligning them with your personal values, and outlining a path forward toward greater self-love, acceptance, emotional balance, and authenticity. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the work we will do together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and valued. I am deeply committed to serving individuals who have felt silenced or marginalized, and I approach each session with empathy, cultural awareness, and respect. I am skilled at helping clients explore difficult emotions, unpack complex experiences, and move toward self-love and self-acceptance. My experience working with substance use, involuntary mental health involvement, and serious mental health disorders allows me to bring both clinical insight and practical strategies to the therapeutic process. I also excel at helping clients reconnect with their core values. Together, we identify what truly matters to you so you can begin making empowered decisions and reclaiming your voice. In short, I combine empathy, clinical depth, and empowerment-focused work to help clients rediscover their authentic selves.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work especially well with clients who have felt unheard, overlooked, or silenced in their lives. Many of the individuals I serve are navigating substance use recovery, court or involuntary mental health involvement, mood and emotional regulation challenges, or serious mental health conditions. If you are seeking more than symptom management - if you want deeper healing, clarity, and alignment with your true self - I am here to walk alongside you. My passion is helping individuals reclaim their voice and rebuild their lives from a place of self-worth and authenticity.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a psychotherapist, I have extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which I find particularly effective across diverse populations. This approach enables me to assist clients in addressing specific problems by helping them become aware of their thoughts, emotions, and beliefs surrounding these issues, rather than delving into their causes.

Compassion Focused

As a psychotherapist, I prioritize a compassion-focused approach in my practice. This is particularly effective for clients experiencing high levels of shame and self-criticism, who often struggle to feel warmth and kindness toward themselves and others. This approach helps clients cultivate a sense of safeness and warmth in their interactions, fostering greater self-acceptance and compassion.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have experience utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in my practice, which I find particularly effective for clients struggling with emotional regulation, self-destructive behaviors, and interpersonal difficulties. DBT skills empower clients to manage their emotions, reduce intensity, and avoid harmful behaviors. By helping clients master mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance, I support them in navigating challenges more effectively.

Motivational Interviewing

I employ Motivational interviewing with clients who are problem drinkers, substance misusers, and people who demonstrate resistance to changing problematic behaviors. Motivational interviewing helps clients explore and resolve ambivalence about changing their behavior. It's based on the idea that motivation must come from the person making the change.

Supportive

I use a supportive approach in therapy, which is beneficial as it helps clients feel safe and comfortable. This environment fosters better communication and strengthens the therapeutic alliance.
