I believe everyone has the ability to have a good life. I take a warm, nonjudgmental approach that is personalized to meet your needs. I can help you find meaning in pain and overcome obstacles to living an authentic, fulfilling life. I use an eclectic, person-centered approach, with main focus on cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness techniques. I understand that life can be busy and stressful, and I use Telehealth to allow you to heal within the comfort of your own space. I am dedicated to providing a safe, transformative space for you to explore what keeps you stuck. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. You want someone to understand you, and I seek to understand. My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to provide a gentle push to get you where you want to be. Together we will create the change you seek to live your life to the fullest potential.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Choosing the right therapist can be as difficult as choosing the right pair of shoes. You want them to be compatible and comforting, yet stable and strong enough to see you through your journey. I am dedicated to providing a safe, transformative space for individuals to explore what keeps them stuck.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Anxiety is the body’s natural response to stress and can be beneficial in some situations. Anxiety helps us notice dangerous situations so we can stay safe. The problem is when we experience intense, excessive, and persistent worry about everyday situations. Anxiety can make it difficult to get through the day, but you don’t need to live like this. I can help you learn to have your anxiety without your anxiety having you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My approach is eclectic and person-centered. However, I incorporate techniques from well-researched, evidence-based therapeutic modalities. I use CBT to offer insights into thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT will allow us to explore unhelpful thought patterns and build skills to being more balance to our lives.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance-Commitment Therapy teaches us how to accept that pain is inevitable, but so is joy. ACT helps to identify values, commit to change, and lead a vital and meaningful life. It allows us to gain wisdom and look at things differently.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness means maintaining awareness of the present moment with an open, nonjudgmental mind. Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction uses a blend of meditation, body awareness, and mindful movement. MBSR can help us lean how our body reacts to stress and develop ways to cope with the challenges of everyday life.
