Hi! My name is Stephanie and I am Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in CA. I received my Master's at the University of San Francisco and have been practicing for 7 years. I support teens, young adults to adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety and life transitions. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to juggle the pressures of work, school, relationships, and personal growth. My approach is grounded in empathy, evidence-based techniques, and a deep respect for each client’s unique journey.
When you come to therapy, my first priority is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and understood. I know that taking the first step to reach out for help can be tough, but I’m here to walk alongside you through whatever challenges you're facing. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
One of my greatest strengths is my commitment to helping you recognize and tap into your own strengths and resources. I believe that every individual has inherent resilience, even in times of struggle. I also believe a strong therapeutic relationship is key to healing. I see you as a whole person, not just your symptoms, and I’ll strive to understand your experiences from your perspective. My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and supportive, which helps you feel safe enough to explore difficult emotions and challenges without fear of criticism. In our work together, you'll experience a genuine connection where you feel truly heard, valued, and understood.
Are you constantly worried about the future or feel overwhelmed with life stressors? Do you struggle with certain relationships with friends, family or your partner? I am here to help you feel more grounded, balanced and in control of your life. We will observe your patterns in relationships and learn new tools/skills to manage difficult experiences and emotions.
I've been using CBT techniques for 6 years to help treat symptoms of depression and anxiety. If that critical voice in your head is affecting your mood and behaviors, we can work on challenging that voice. We all have the ability to change the course of our emotions.
After building rapport, I use the qualities, skills and resources you have to make you feel empowered and able to manage stress in healthy ways.
With children and adolescents, we can use creative outlets to tap into emotions and learn different ways to cope with stressors or triggers. Play therapy is also a wonderful technique to practice how to show up at school, in friendships and other social situations.
Trauma Informed Care is vital to the work that I do with individuals. We will work at your pace since I honor a client's journey and past experiences. Built trust and safety are important in my therapeutic practice.
I would like to get to know you and what support works best for you. Every human being is different, and I tailor my work to you as an individual.
