I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP), and EMDR-trained clinician with over a decade of experience in behavioral health. With a foundation in psychology and professional counseling, I have dedicated my career to empowering individuals and communities through mental health, substance use treatment, and clinical leadership. I’ve served within various roles that have allowed me to assist clients in exploring the intersection of identity, healing, and leadership.
In our first session, you can expect a warm, collaborative space where we explore not just “what’s wrong” but what’s real. I’ll take time to listen deeply, understand your story, and help you uncover both barriers and strengths. Together, we’ll set clear, meaningful goals that honor your values, culture, and pace. From consultation to therapy, we’ll move forward with purpose and intention.
I bring deep understanding of the lived experiences within communities into all aspects of practice while empowering clients with quality care. I use EMDR, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing to promote healing, insight, and long-term growth. If you're looking for a therapist who truly “gets it" and nurtures growth, then I'm here to support your journey.
I specialize in supporting adults navigating trauma, substance use recovery, racial identity stress, and professional burnout. I am especially attuned to the experiences of those in high-responsibility roles who feel burdened by the pressure to perform, code-switch, or stay silent. I also work with individuals returning to the community after incarceration and those engaged in substance use treatment programs. My clients value authenticity, accountability, and transformation, and so do I.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I like to encourage people to identify how personal thoughts have a direct impact on their feelings and behaviors.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I incorporate a person-centered approach which allows clients to navigate the direction of their therapeutic journey and healing.
Motivational Interviewing
I have used motivation interviewing as a treatment modality that encourages clients to identify their personal motivation for change.
EMDR
I am EMDR trained and use these skills as a way to assist clients in navigating through trauma responses developed as a result of their histories and past experiences.

Of course going into this session, I was nervous and really didn't know what to expect, but Asia assured me that I was the driving force behind the session and we didn't have to explore anything I wasn't comfortable exploring. That in itself made me feel relaxed and gave me the confidence to talk freely. Asia is a genuinely warm and caring person who made me feel heard and she showed interest in what I was saying. It felt more like a regular conversation, and I appreciate that.
