Dr. Kimberly Dexter is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner that is affiliated top teaching universities and has treated clients with serious mental illnesses at local community service board agencies and correctional facilities. She has presented speaking presentations at local, national, and international healthcare conferences. She has earned a total of six degrees in various fields of healthcare and graduated from George Mason University with a Doctorate of Nurse Practice Degree. She has over 10 years in mental health care experience in crisis stabilization, substance use services, in both outpatient and inpatient treatment settings. She provides compassionate mental health care and listens to clients' concerns, desires and allows them to provide input in their treatment plan.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then complete a through detailed psychiatric evaluation that will provide information and details about specific challenges you're facing and the reason your are seeking treatment. This will help me create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through with follow-up medication management and psychotherapy sessions. I always ask clients to participate in medication selections.

My greatest asset as a provider is listening and helping clients determine what medications and services are best suited for their care.

I enjoy providing patient-centered medication management and psychotherapy services to adult clients who are have with ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, and Substance Use (including opioid and alcohol addiction).
