For me, therapy is a structured, confidential space where you can slow down long enough to understand what is happening in your life and why certain thoughts, emotions, and patterns keep repeating. It is not about someone fixing you or telling you what to do. It is a collaborative process where we explore your experiences, make sense of your reactions, and develop healthier ways of thinking, coping, and relating to yourself and others. Effective therapy provides something many people rarely experience in everyday life: a place where you can speak openly without judgment, be understood, and feel supported while doing difficult personal work. Throughout this journey, many people develop deeper self awareness, strengthen relationships, and find a greater sense of direction in their lives. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida who works with children, adolescents, adults, and couples in a virtual setting. Over the past four years in private practice, I've had the privilege of working with individuals navigating everything from anxiety and mood challenges, to relationship struggles, neurodivergence, and major life transitions. Many people arrive feeling overwhelmed and uncertain of where to begin. Others simply sense something in their life and relationships that is no longer working. Regardless of one's reason for seeking support, my style is collaborative, curious, and grounded. I combine evidence-based therapeutic approaches with creativity, warmth, empathy, and a healthy dose of perspective. We focus on recognizing patterns, understanding how our pasts shape our present, and develope practical strategies tailored to create meaningful change. At its best, therapy is a balance of reflection, insight, and strategy. It can involve difficult conversations, moments of discomfort, and those powerful “aha” realizations that shift the way you view self and the world around you. Clients often describe our interactions as thoughtful, engaging, and refreshingly real.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

A first session is thoughtfully designed to feel welcoming, genuine, and warm. Starting therapy can feel uncertain and is a big step. My priority centers around creating an environment where you feel comfortable, respected, and appreciated for showing up as yourself without pressure or expectations. We begin by talking about what brought you to therapy and how you will know this experience is effective. This session is your opportunity to share as much or as little as you feel ready to. I will gently ask questions at your pace to gather a more robust understanding of your lived experiences, background, and the areas where support, guidance, psycho-education, resources, and change would make a meaningful impact for you. We explore current stressors, conflict in relationships, and maladaptive patterns holding you back. We will start identifying key factors contributing to current life challenges as we begin the crucial process of establishing trust and building rapport. Equally as important, our first few sessions are your opportunity to interview me and ensure my style, approach, personality, clinical expertise, and energy are what you are looking for in a therapist. I welcome all questions about the therapeutic process, my approach, or anything that would offer more clarity, insight, and understanding. A strong therapeutic relationship is the backbone of your successful therapeutic experience, alliance, and outcome. By the end of our first meeting, many clients leave with a clearer understanding of their concerns, while gaining a more in-depth perspective on what may be happening beneath the surface. Therapy is a collaborative process, and from the very beginning, you are an active part of shaping your treatment path ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Working with me tends to feel more like a thoughtful conversation than a formal clinical process. I listen closely, ask questions that help people see things from different vantage points, and create space for both serious reflection and the occasional moments of humor. My goal is to offer consistent, steady, support while helping clients connect the dots between their experiences, emotions, and patterns in a way that feels insightful and practical. My approach to therapy is best described as integrative. Rather than relying on one single model, I draw from a variety of evidence-based methods, and tailor them to the individual sitting in front of me. Each person whom I have the honor of earning their trust and cultivating a meaningful therapeutic relationship with is vastly unique. For me, it's important that therapy is flexible enough to meet those differences and customized enough to honor them.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client appreciates a collaborative, down-to-earth approach, blending meaningful reflection with real-world tools they can apply in daily life. They value authenticity, are open to exploration and tapping into their subconscious, and are motivated to build healthier ways of communicating, coping, and connecting with themselves and others.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I use an eclectic approach to therapy by drawing from multiple evidence-based modalities, tailoring techniques to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. This flexibility allows me to integrate methods such as CBT, play therapy, and family-systems work in a way that best supports growth and healing. By combining strategies rather than relying on one rigid framework, I create a personalized and effective therapeutic experience.

I loved meeting Michelle on my first session. As someone who is self aware and ready and willing to work on myself, I truly appreciated her asking questions to twelve deeper into the root of what is causing the pain. I appreciated that she is also humorous how I am because Therapy doesn’t always mean I have to be having a full panic and cry session in order to heal. She’s the perfect first impression as my first time using GrowTherapy
