I am a compassionate, attentive clinician who believes that the best practice is a collaborative partnership. I work with clients to develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, with the goal of improving overall wellness and resilience. My approach emphasizes active listening, empathy, and practical strategies that can be applied in daily life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During your initial appointment, I want you to know exactly what to expect. My goal is to ensure you feel comfortable, welcomed, and supported from the very beginning. In our first session, we will focus on building a foundation of trust and understanding. I encourage you to share as much as you feel comfortable with, and I will listen carefully to your concerns and needs. There is no judgment in this space—only empathy and respect.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I approach each patient with compassion, recognizing that this may be the worst day of their life. My goal is to provide support and comfort, ensuring that every patient feels heard and cared for during difficult moments. All aspects of my care are guided by thorough nursing assessments. By evaluating each patient’s unique situation, I am able to tailor my care to best meet their needs, prioritizing their well-being and recovery.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am committed to supporting both young and older adults as they go through significant transitions in life. These transitions may involve changes in finances, evolving family dynamics, experiences of death or grief, taking on caregiving roles for parents, or coping with divorce. Additionally, I work with individuals addressing issues related to sexuality, substance use, and addiction. My approach centers on addressing these mental health concerns within the context of each individual's unique circumstances.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT interventions such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and problem-solving exercises.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I actively consider each client’s cultural identity and experiences. This means tailoring interventions and communication styles to reflect their values, beliefs, and traditions. By doing so, I create a safe and inclusive environment where clients feel understood and accepted.

Grief Therapy

In my practice, grief therapy plays a pivotal role in supporting clients as they navigate the emotional, psychological, and sometimes physical responses to loss. The use frameworks, techniques, and philosophies guide my approach.

Motivational Interviewing

I focus on creating a respectful and nonjudgmental environment. This involves active listening, empathy, and validating the client’s feelings. By establishing trust, clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and concerns, which is essential for MI to be effective.

Interpersonal

I utilize interpersonal therapy to guide clients in understanding and navigating their social interactions. I work with them to identify patterns in their relationships and explore how these patterns may contribute to their emotional challenges.
