If you aren't prepared for a little challenge to your thinking, you aren't engaged in our counseling process. It's okay to be unsure, but not to believe anyone can make things better without your effort. Paying for someone to say you're right 100% of the time may feel good in the moment, but there is no growth in the comfort zone and no comfort in the growth zone. Despite my background in Crisis, this platform and my association with it, is not appropriate for emergencies regarding a desire to harm self or others or in cases of psychosis that require formal evaluations in an Emergency Room. It is my ethical and professional responsibility to refer clients to appropriate resources (911) in their locality in these instances. Otherwise, we can get to work. My goal is to assist you as you grow the skills and insight to move forward and see results. There will be work involved, new ways of thinking, new behaviors and maybe, new decisions. When and if you are ready for this, I hope you will reach out.
I prefer getting right to work and try to make even the first session count. My goal is for you to get enough traction so that you can see progress quickly and return for booster sessions only as you need them when new challenges arise. I will push you and challenge you wherever I see an opportunity.
I am best suited for stable clients who are not at risk for self-harm or harm to others. Conflict, communication issues, life stage transitions and adjustments in personal and professionals areas with couples and individuals would be the best fit.

Abrina brings impactful insights to our sessions and asks questions that really allow me to reflect and think about my challenges, allowing me to make conclusions on my own.
