Licensed to practice in Texas and accepts 36 insurances. Specializes in Child or Adolescent, Crisis Intervention, Anxiety and 4 more.
Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas. I received my master's degree from Louisiana State University. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings, gaining extensive experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness. I have also come to understand the importance of guiding others through crises. I am here to help you realize your potential and achieve your goals, no matter how daunting they may seem.
Our first session will be an informal get-to-know-you session where you can share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We’ll then work together to create goals and steps to achieve them. Your privacy is paramount to me, and all our sessions will be strictly confidential.
Kindness and empathy, two qualities I hold in high regard, are the pillars of my practice.
I enjoy working with teenagers and young adults transitioning into different chapters in their lives. My clients are eager to explore this new sense of self but need help understanding and coping with these new changes. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious about their careers.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is one of my go-to treatment methods. It is best for helping clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. Our ultimate goal is to use CBT to understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other, and then use that understanding to change your thinking patterns. This will lead to a less anxious and stressed life, a goal we can achieve together.

Speaking with Karress always takes a weight off my shoulders. She finds authentic ways to connect and make situations feel relatable, as opposed to going through challenging times feeling isolated and targeted. She does amazing holding space for me, reminding me to do the same for myself, all while holding myself accountable to my goals. She's truly a positive light in my life. Plus she's funny and friendly

Love meeting with her. Has been great with helping me talk things out and gives me things to work on as well.
