Hello, my name is Cassaundra Peck. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of the North Carolina. I also am a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. I hold supervisory licenses in both of these respective boards. I have extensive experience working in the fields of addiction, domestic violence, and military issues. Ultimately, I believe foundation of any successful therapy experience hinges on the client-therapist relationship. I also hold a belief that ultimately it is our faith and the guidance of the Holy Spirit that produces long sustainable change. I take my relationships with my clients seriously and strive for my clients to experience me as warm and authentic. I welcome feedback from clients and a dialogue about what would be most helpful as we work together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session well will go over informed consent and a brief description of therapy. We then will identify what presenting problems bring you to therapy and talk about a plan that would feel most helpful.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel like you will find me to be warm, receptive, and authentic. I do not believe that because I am a therapist I am above anyone or have any answers that you don't also possess. I see my role as that of someone to come alongside you in a season of life and provide a safe place for you to be seen and feel heard. I hope that as a fellow Christian I can encourage you in your faith and point you back to the one who truly holds all of your emotions and see all of your stress and pain.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love to work with clients who are open to integrating their faith and the Bible into sessions. Because of my extensive experience I also am well versed in working with clients in the throws of addiction or victims of domestic violence. I think each crisis in our life is an opportunity to make changes. I think ultimately while we cannot see it now, there is beauty in the ashes.

I believe that true change can only occur at the heart level and that change is completed by Jesus. I view myself as a vessel to allow the Holy Spirit to work but ultimately believe that we can look to the Word of God and our faith for healing.
